My role
Solo — concept, UI, UI kit
Context
Design challenge based on a brief from Soften, a B2B platform (trading, logistics, procurement, supply chain)
The brief
Design an error/404 page for a B2B logistics and trading platform — a state most teams treat as an afterthought, but one that still needs to keep a business user oriented and guide them back into the product.

a direct contact block
for users who need help immediately

a search bar
for users who know what they're looking for

a primary CTA
back to the homepage
Rather than a dead end, the page offers three ways forward:
My Approach
This reflects how B2B users often need faster, more direct support than a B2C audience.
Instead of a generic «page not found» screen, I leaned into the client's industry: the copy plays on a logistics metaphor («even the best logistics sometimes take unexpected paths»), which keeps the tone professional but still human — appropriate for a B2B audience that doesn't want to feel like it's landed on a broken consumer app.

01
Put together a UI kit (typography, buttons, logo lockups, color system) alongside the page — treating even a single screen as part of a reusable system, the way it would be handled in a real product.
Kept the "404" large but faded in the background so it doesn't compete with the navigation options — the goal was recovery, not decoration.
Key Decisions
Added quick links to the platform's core service categories (Trading, Logistics, Procurement, Support, Supply Chain), so a lost user can self-navigate without going back to the homepage first.
Quiet error state
Self-service navigation
Built as a system, not a one-off
Result
Concept completed from brief and approved for portfolio use.
